About Ian

Ian is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser with nearly 20 years’ experience advising companies on R&D tax credits including in the UK and Ireland. He also gained a First-Class Honours Degree in Chemistry whilst at Reading University.
15 years of his experience advising companies on R&D tax credits arose whilst working within the corporation tax departments of both PwC and BDO in Belfast. Ian was the office expert in terms of advising clients on R&D tax credits during both employments. He also specialised in the patent box during his time at BDO and presented on the topic on several occasions. He has also given technical seminars on R&D tax credits and the patent box for MBL Seminars, a leading supplier of accredited CPD courses.
